STREAM OF CONSCIOUSNESS
FBAUP project- 2018
The stream of consciousness is a literary movement of the XIX century, that attempts to depict the multitudinous thoughts and feelings which pass through the mind.
The creation of these sound narratives are based on the poem Reaching the Third Level, by Freddie Robinson Jr. In this poem, the author describes thinking as a process of three successive phases, the first is where most people stay, transforming it in the most populated place, and the most simple one; the last is the most complex and therefore the most difficult to achieve. The flow of water will then represent the flow of ideas or the stream of consciousness.
As for the video, we used snippets of some movies and archive videos to bring back to image the trip we created with the sound. Some movies used were, Picnic at Hanging Rock (1975), Ryan's Daughter (1970) e Èternité (2016).
